Moradia BENE

Bene House is located within a residential development set in a privileged position on the natural amphitheatre of Funchal, enjoying panoramic views over the city and the sea.

In terms of spatial organisation, the project was developed according to a principle of formal and functional simplification, seeking to optimise finishes and adopt a bold and distinctive chromatic composition, in contrast with the surrounding traditional architecture.

The exterior façade incorporates elements inspired by the principles of traditional Portuguese tilework, reinterpreted in a contemporary manner through a random gradient application, establishing a chromatic transition that directly alludes to the passage from the blue of the sea to the sky.

The interior extends this formal coherence through organic shapes and a natural palette, where blue, green and earthy beige tones are expressed in textures and architecture, evoking a direct connection to the landscape and nature.

The total absence of white in the interior constitutes a fundamental premise of the project, defining its own identity and a unique reading of the architectural intent.
