Atalaia Project is a local accommodation tourism development composed of six T0 residential cabins, set within a picturesque, green, organic and natural environment. The steep slope of the terrain is overcome by stone stairways and descending water paths, known on Madeira Island as veredas, which guide movement and orientation throughout the complex.
Access to the accommodation is via a pedestrian vereda of approximately 100 metres, promoting a harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape. The project’s concept is fundamentally sustainable, focusing on the use of natural and local materials, energy efficiency and the utilisation of the site’s natural resources.
The cabins were designed to minimise environmental impact, incorporating passive climate control solutions, rainwater collection systems and discreet solar panels. The aim is to offer guests an immersive experience in nature, highlighting tranquillity, well-being and direct contact with Madeira’s unique landscape.
The Atalaia Project seeks to combine comfort, sustainability and authenticity, providing an ecological and harmonious retreat that both respects and enhances the territory in which it is located.
